Stuck. Still Stuck.

June 4, 2008

I recently received an email from a nice reader named Dave who is 'getting kind of tired of all the pictures and videos of James.' Apparently he wants more stories, more writing, and more Sharpie-drawn illustrations of my sensitive, embarrassing moments.

Well Dave, let's make a deal. Today I'll post THREE videos of my kid. But to make it up to you, next time I experience childbirth I'll illustrate the whole thing for you with my trusty Sharpie marker. Sound good?

And besides, James is like the cutest 42 pound creature on the planet. Seems like you might need glasses. Or a brain transplant. Or a heart.

Anywho, without further hesitation, here are three thirty second videos of James. Please be sure to watch them in sequence. And as always, please ignore the mess, the unpainted trim work, and my voice.

What he lacks in guts, he makes up for in whining power. Right?

Oh my gosh, that was so funny and cute, but at the same time I felt bad for him. The kid was really, really scared! He is so big! And since I don't have a 42 pounder right now, I'll agree he's the cutest 42 pound kid out there!

I think you should just post a birth video! That would shut Dave up quick!

That video had me laughing out loud. Seriously, too funny. What great parents to appreciate the humor first and help him second!

Nice shirt that he's wearing too.

That's the sign of a true blogging mother. Taking videos instead of helping the poor tyke. I would have done it too.

HIlarious! I was busting a gut. Perhaps the child intuitively knows that he's inherited the clumsy gene from his mother and he WOULD have sprained an ankle with the two inch jump!?

Tell Dave to go Blogging somewhere else. I love your pictures/videos of your adireable 42 pounder!!! This one is mighty hiarious and a winner in my book. You need to send it into Americas Funniest Videos!

I am looking at this video through the eyes of a mandated reporter that I am. All I could think of was watching Michael Jasckson dangling his boy from one ankle through an open window. Amy are you trying to create a risk taker? That boy was in in jeopardy! Today you have him jumping from your living room wall whats next jumping off a bridge? Do you think he is spiderman? Did you know the number for DHS is 1 800-452-1999. How is it that I have that number committed to memory. Could it be people are reporting me for pushing my kids to the same extremes you push your boy too. Well I hope you understand my humor (lol). John P.S I will be posting that picture I took of you Amy soon!

Is he saying he is trying to get off the bus? He sounded genuinely scared, but you can't help but laugh when you see his feet are just about touching the floor!

Hilarious. I can't believe how big he is!

I love how you just left him hanging there.......... crying for help.

Strangely enough, we had a similar experience with our 3yo last week, except he was stuck on an end table, and he had his three older siblings mocking him.

So why DID you help him?

oh, how I was wishing him to be brave - I just could not help giggling at the whine.
little boys are just so sweet and cute.

I would point out how wrong you were if it wasn't so darn funny.

Tell what's his name that he can read another blog if he doesn't like the cuteness that is James.
