I've played a similar game at a bar in Minnesota during Lumberjack Days. It was a pretty late hour of the night at which most of the participants didn't have much more mental capacity than some precocious one year olds.

Seperately, my kids do love to pound nails into scrap wood at home. I remember doing this as a child, too. We, though, make it easier and let the nails be pounded into the end of the wood, like a stump.

If only I could convince my principal that this was an educational activity, I could use it with my 10 year olds...
