There's no doubt about it--this Christmas, James will be getting his very own digital camera.
I know, I know--it's kind of a strange gift for a three-year-old boy, but trust me, this child'll love it. He's always lugging my camera around--you know, snapping some candids and licking the lens.
Last week I spent an entire workday driving around town, taking photos of the lovely fall foliage with the intention of posting them on my organization's new website. Early this morning, I popped my memory card into my laptop and ran off to my Board of Director's meeting, hoping to gain approval to post the pictures.
But when I pulled up the photos, the red and yellow trees were nowhere to be found. Somehow James wiped the entire memory card clean and refilled it with 100-or-so pictures like these...

We have that SAME EXACT PROBLEM. So buying one of those kid camera's for Christmas.
photos by James..could have the title "My World-As(s) I see It!"
Maybe you should go the cheaper way and get the kid a blog. ;)
Awesome pictures by James! He definitely needs his own camera - not a weird gift at all :)
Great pictures. Has he tried to get any naked pictures yet? Both of my boys have been told off already for attempting to catch someone going to the bathroom on camera.
I think he should be in charge of a Christmas card photo shoot.
I really love the self portrait.
FWIW, they make digital cameras for kids w/2 eye wholes. My neice loves hers...
When I started reading your post, I was so relieved to see that you didn't post any of the candid shots that James got of us at the lobster shack... I'm pretty sure he got some that would make me blush in embarrassment. lol. It really was so cute how attached he was to your camera... and unwilling to wear the strap around his neck. Such a cute boy you have!
A star is born! I'll be sure to visit when we finally decide to take a family portrait. Sorry about the debacle at work, though. Yikes. I bet you were thrilled.
P.S: Posted something for you on my blog, so come on down!
I love the self portraits ... he should have his website!
That's hilarious! Too bad about all the deleted foliage shots, tho. I agree, his own camera is a great idea.
he's got a knack for capturing some pretty unflattering shots. maybe he'll be in the paparazzi when he grows up.
we bought a new digital camera and gave our 4 year old our old one. i say, get the new camera for yourself and give him the hand me down.
Gracie's bum is my favorite.
I'm sorry if it hurts your feelings that your bum isn't my favorite, but that doggy tail is to die for.
Who needs fall foilage really?
OH NY GOODNESS! What talent! James needs his own blog to post his pictures on.
My little guy does the same! It's great to see things through their eyes!
LOL! What a silly boy! Those are awesome. I wonder what your bosses will think? :)
These are fantastic.
BTW, I had (poor thing) a greyhound with the same ass. Your Gracie looks so much like him.
