Did you know that you can buy a wedding dress at Target?

Me neither.

Styles start at eighty-nine dollars.

Maybe I'm snot-nosed and old-fashioned, but have they gone too far?

Well it's a nice option for people who don't have a lot of moolah... but me personally, I'll prolly have mine made, being so petite and all.

Actually, they look pretty. And really? Is a place like David's Bridal that much of a step up? I think DB's bridal gowns start around the same price range.

Personally, I've always thought that the cost of bridal gowns was highway robbery. It's a lot of money to spend on a dress you wear once.

You're right, they're pretty. But dang, someone needs to side with me here :o)

leave it to Isaac Mizrahi! those dresses are nice...check out the 21.99-44.00 white wedding pantsuit...pretty darn snappy if you ask me!

Amy, I'm with you. There's just something wrong about buying your wedding dress at the same store you can buy your toilet paper and tampons.

Are they really decorative?

No Siree (sorry Amy)! If I hadn't borrowed mine, I would've been all over the target dress. (braggin on my wedding day too: "Guess how much I paid for this bad boy!")

I'm actually thinking about getting one for mine coming up! And not one of the white ones, either. I'm thinking one of the reddish ones that I can wear to concerts and plays afterwards. I hate buying something I'll only use once! Even if it is what I'll wear when I get married.

I bought mine at JcPenny for a hundred bucks. These are nicer.

Ok, ok, fine. I understand.

I guess what they say is true:

You can take the girl out of Connecticut, but you can't take the Connecticut out of a girl.

I'll always be a little bit snobby I guess :o)

I wonder what the quality is like. If they are made well then I say what the heck. I heart Target though.

Some things you just cannot lower your standards for. My husband keeps trying to talk me into moving into a trailer park. He extols their virtues: the only affordable housing in the Bay Area, single family dwelling, bigger than anything else we can or can't afford, much nicer here because everyone else is in the same boat so our neighbors will be just like us, we could put an inflatable hot tub in the back, blah blah blah. I will not give in! Next time you need a wedding dress, Amy, don't go to Target--show 'em all how classy you are!
